Trade Show Trendspotting Fall 2018 Report

The trends bubbling up this fall from the Summer Fancy Food Show and Natural Products Expo East include some of the usual suspects. But as always, there are new ingredients, flavors, packaging formats and benefits on display that bring the trends to new life.

Our trend report (download it from our Trends or Contact page) covers Snacks, Beverages, Flavors and the ever-growing “category” of foods made from ingredients we dub “Alt.” It’s our way of labeling the gluten-free, grain-free, vegan or simply super-nourishing foods made from unexpected ingredients. This fall, it’s vegetable flours like sweet potato and cauliflower (of course!) to use in baking mixes, as coatings and as complements to other grain flours.
